How I am operating during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Private dog training lesson options:

In-person private lessons: I come to your home.

Currently, lessons are taking place a combination of inside and outside. I respectfully request masks be worn when lessons are indoors. Alternatively, if our lesson is outdoors, I will not make that request.

Should Covid-19 numbers in Lubbock spike again, lessons will return to outside only, at my discretion. Should that happen, because of Texas heat, we would need to schedule in the morning or in the evening when there is shade. Lessons would be weather-dependent.

I will reach out to you to reschedule if I am unwell and I ask that if anyone in your family is unwell (especially with fever!) that you reach out to me to reschedule.

Contact-free: I offer live video chat lessons via Zoom.

I describe the skill and demonstrate it. Then you and your dog practice as I watch and provide feedback. Sometime you’ll video a session during the week, and we’ll look at it together during our lesson.

There are many advantages. No drive time or preparing a house for a visitor. If you have a shy dog, it removes stage fright. If you have a hyper dog, there will be less distraction and more brain space for learning. There is a larger variety of time slots, as lessons won’t be impacted by Texas heat or storms.

I understand that the online option might seem a little strange at first. However, did you know that there are many trainers that have been successfully offering online dog training for YEARS, for a variety of topics ranging from aggression to agility to obedience competitions to puppy manners?
